Jog for a Jug 2012

Last Saturday we participated in a real fun race called "Jog for a Jug" in the gorgeous little seaside village of Point Roberts, Washington.  This year marked the 31st annual Jog for a Jug – that’s alot of years to keep a local race a popular event, so one would conclude that it’s gotta be a good one – and it is.

I ran this race probably about 20 years ago and was coerced by my best running friends to enter again.  And there we were on race day with a forecast of a torrential downpour all day.  This has been typical weather of how our summer has been shaping up, but I was just hoping that the weatherman was wrong today.  Please don’t rain on our parade, and, guess what, it didn’t.  It rained before the race and it rained after the race, but I never felt had a drop of rain through the entire 11.2 km.

Top Features For Running Tights

Running Tights

It’s been quite a few years since running tights came into fashion amongst the running population. And today they have evolved in such a way that it is acceptable to wear them not only for your run, but out and about doing your chores or going for a coffee. I don’t know what I’d do without them as I chafe so badly on my inner thighs.

Running tights are designed to be form fitting or relaxed and there are literally hundreds of variations in cut and material. They are anatomically designed to fit the runner so perfectly that they move with your body and are perfectly comfortable. I have a pair of winter tights that are so soft and cuddly that I have a hard time not wearing them all day long.

Running tights basically come in three lengths – full pant, capris or shorts.  With a couple exceptions, these features cover all three lengths.
