Take Your MP3 Player and Listen to the Running Music

Why We Love MP3 Players
Aren’t MP3 Players are the greatest invention on earth? Okay, so there are a few other great inventions, but MP3 players are pretty darn cool! I love to listen to music on my runs. Not all of them mind you. On some of my runs I just want to get out there and solve the world’s problems. And sometimes I start with my own. I can’t tell you how many runs where the answers to my lingering question come to me so clearly. Running just has a way of clearing my mind of all other traffic so that I can really focus on what I need to think about.
Getting back to MP3 players, those are for the days when I don’t need or want to think and there are plenty of those. Again, my run seems to clear my mind and I just get really into my tunes. In my running history, I’ve had the opportunity to run through a few technologie. I remember running with my Sony walkman and and how awkward it was to carry and the walkman seemed to bounce around so much – it didn’t seem to matter what kind of case I used for it. And then came the diskmans and we all thought that they would be the perfect running partner as they were much lighter than the walkmans. Well, the diskman posed a new problem as I never seemed to be able to find the elusive ”unskippable” ones.
MP3′s have all those problems solved. They are small, convenient, great searchability, or you can just make up your own running playlist with you favorite running tunes. And you can record more songs than I will ever be able to finish listening to on any of my runs – even when marathon training!
I may never have really discovered MP3 players (or maybe not for another 5 years) if I didn’t have kids that are on the leading edge of technology. So for any of you runners out there who haven’t discovered the world of MP3 players and just want to listen to some great songs during your run, get yourself an MP3 player and enjoy technology.

I just happened to come a cross one of your old articles about running with an MP3 player (March 23,2006). And I have the next phase in the evolution of taking music with you on your run. The music players have evolved but the carrying case have not! You either have typical gym armband that you strap to your bicep or you hold your device in your hand or pocket. It is difficult to change your music when you are running when it is on your arm; you have to twist your upper torso and take your eyes off the road a potentially dangerous situation i.e. potholes, cars, trees etc. Holding your MP3 player on a long run makes your hand fatigue and you have to concentrate on not dropping it, in your pocket it just bounces around.
So we developed the “armband that your wear on your hand!” We are patent pending and a really neat improvement over the standard gym armbands. Take a look at our website (HBTune.com)and if you think it would be something you would like to review let me know and I will send you some units.
Thanks,
Geoff
